Custom Sheet Music

Cruise Ship charts require special thought because ships have different size bands and they also have a varying standard of musicianship. This means that arranging for these type of bands can be more difficult and present more limitations than you may think of at first. We’ve written many arrangements for both the main show (with click-tracks) as well as for many guest vocalists.

This arrangement is for a 9 piece band consisting of 2 trumpets, 2 saxes, trombone, piano, guitar, bass and drums.

We always add cues wherever possible to the MD/piano part (and trumpet 1 where possible) as on some occasions the band may only be a trio.
This arrangement has carefully been voiced so that if there are only 4 or even 3 horns it should still work well.

This example shows a piano/music director part for a cruise-ship arrangement. There’s a lot of information notated and yet it still looks very easy to read. The parts of other instruments have been added to the score so that the MD can direct the band more easily or in case the band is a trio, the keyboard player can fill the important parts in. Also, there’s chord symbols throughout the score as well as notated music so if the pianist is not a good reader, the arrangement should still make you sound good.
